12 Days of Holy Moments: Day 3

Third up is a literally breathtaking sequence from the end of Francois Truffaut’s The 400 Blows (1959). An abandoned young boy, Antoine, escapes from the juvenile detention centre in which his parents placed him and starts running – creating one of the most ambiguous and poetic endings in cinema history.
